Help with Infinity SM-65 recap

I'm looking to recap these speakers as a tweeter is going in and out.

Any recommendations on what capacitor brand to replace them with? I'm not looking for a high end upgrade, a recommended direct replacement should be fine as these are home office speakers, but Culver doesn't seem to still be around.

Also, any idea what that blue box is? I'm assuming it's a fuse, but I haven't seen a style like that and struggling to figure out where to buy a replacement if needed.

According to the schematic, it's a fuse.

A tweeter cutting in and out doesn't sound like a cap problem. Caps typically drift in value which moves the crossover point. Cutting in and out sounds more like an intermittent electrical connection from a bad solder joint or mechanical connection at the binding post of the driver. Or a problem with the fuse. I would look at all these other things first or in addition to the cap.

Looks like those caps are just a general purpose 10% 100v electrolytic, can replace it with about any brand of the same value but can go higher on the voltage. Or consider using a mylar or polypropylene film cap for better sonic characteristics. Dayton is a popular budget priced cap from parts express.

The blue thing is a resetting fuse or circuit breaker for the tweeters, should be something that will work to replace it, or bypass it but be careful with higher volumes since there wont be any protection if bypassed.

I cant say for sure what fuses would work for these speakers, but looking at the link for those, they say they are slow blow fuses, not the resetting type. Maybe others can confirm what type you need.

That's NOT a fuse but a circuit breaker that's probably gone flakey over the years. As a test bypass it to see if the tweeter still cuts in and out.

Ok, that would make more sense for it to be a breaker. I'll see how I can bypass it to test.
