Help! With JBL model speakers

Need some help I’ve checked the inter webs and have done photo search on google can’t find them. Even checked out the old catalogs on the Lansing site. they don’t look to be huge maybe 12-14”x 9-10”.

Could be fakes? easy to put emblems on other speakers. shots of the rears and grills off,
would be easy. guess it's all you got.
 
I owned a pair of J325s, higher up in the same series, purchased when I worked for part of a summer at Harman/Kardon in 1984. They were still current, or about to be discontinued, around then.
 
Hi-Fi Review seemed to like them, even if they were the least expensive JBL at the time.
Hey wait a minute. Why is the Hifi Review article a verbatim copy of the Stereo Review article?? I'm smelling a setup.

Yeah there was,a couple actually...

There was also a J216A.
That basically had an upgraded woofer (cloth surround for the J216A vs. rubber for the J216).
The woofer for the J216 was 308G-2 and the J216A was 308G-3.

There was also an industrial version of the J216 / J216A that was all black vinyl w/o the woodgrain sides.
IIRC the model no. for the industrial versions were 8216 / 8216A / 8216AT.

Also there was a speaker that was just 62 w/o the T.
Difference was the tweeter.

The 62 had the TLX1 titanium laminate dome tweeter.
The 62T got the 022Ti pure titanium dome tweeter.
