Help with Leak Stereo 20 Tube amplifier

Dear colleagues, I have a problem with my Leak Stereo 20 amplifier.
The power transformer died!!
The secondary ones are 280-0-280v; 3.15-0-3.15 and 5v.

My question is: The Hammond model 370 hx transformer would be a good candidate for replacement.
Features:
primary: 240 v (here in Spain voltages is arround 235v)
secondary:
275-0-275 230 ma
3.15-0-3.15 6A
5v 3A

That ought to be adequate, but it would require some luck for the dimensions and mounting holes to be a match. Stereo 20 is a tight fit for the transformers. Check the dimensions and maybe you get lucky?

yeah that should be fine. Quick poke at the datasheets tells me both channels at full output will draw about 200ma plus whatever the driver pulls, guesstimate about 5ma per side so you're good to go.

Just curious!

Did you check the transformer yourself or have someone else check it for you.

I only ask because sometimes people that might not be very well diversed in electronics might mis diagnose something such as a bad fuse or some other problem.

It does happen but tube amp power transformers are fairly rugged and it's a rare event when one fries up.

I have only had one shorted power transformer in 40 years but that is just my repair scenario depending on quantity I have repaired. Other repair persons will have other repair stories due to repair quantity and/or use and abuse.
