Help with McIntosh Mac 4200

I just bought one for 200 bucks and it works fine, but only in mono. When i switch to stereo only one speaker plays. But in mono both play fine. If i turn the balance to the non-working speaker, and turn the volume all the way up you can hear it faintly. Please help me!

Update, i think it could be a grounding issue, works fine with the top off, it could also be the screws in the wood panel

I had the MAC4300 but if the MAC4200 has the same pre/main jacks that don't require jumpers, the problem could be in the switches that disconnect the internal preamp when IC cables are connected to the MAIN AMP IN jacks.

Try connecting a pair of ICs between the PRE OUT and MAIN IN jacks and see if that helps.

Okay, I'll try that!
