Help with scott 299c Case Hardware

Hi, i have a scott 299c that im getting a wooden case made for. The problem is it won't be coming with the screws or hardware to attach it to my amp. My amp has the rubber feet on the bottom, if that makes a difference. Does anyone know what size the screws are and if there is any additional spacers or anything ill need?

If I were you, I would take the feet off the amp, slide it in your chassis and not worrying about securing it. As long as your shelf is level it's not going anywhere.

See, i thought about that but i tend to move me equipment around alot and would be afraid of my forgetting its not secured one day and it sliding out. I'm just clumsy and know that eventually ill mess that up haha.
 
Make sure the case is built to allow the top screen to be open over the 7591 tubes

The 299c output tubes are in front of the transformers and the top screen needs to be positioned correctly for proper ventilation

I have my 299c just placed into the case and I don't have it bolted in
Never been a problem for me

Guess it didn't occur to you that if the Scott had been in an enclosure for the last 60 years, you would not own it and be putting it in an enclosure?
 
Right on, i may end up just doing it that way. A fellow AK user has kindly offered to build me one. He said hes built many wooden scott cases so I'm assuming he knows about the screen positioning but ill shoot him a message just to make sure.

Also, NoTransistors, they offered both wooden and metal cases from the manufacturer so I'm going to assume they knew what they were doing. At any rate, i have a small child and pets so if i want the scott in the main living area it has to be covered. Also this piece has been full recapped and restored ao that makes me feel a little more comfortable with putting it in a case
 
No one on this planet expected to be using a Scott 60 years after it was made. Can you spell 'muffin fan' ?
