Help with Sony SS-M3

Just got a pair of SS-M3's in great condition - functionally great, but cosmetically roughed up a bit.

I am planning to refinish the veneer and redo the grills, which will require removing the drivers. Anything I should look for/update while the drivers are out?

Also, I am looking to replicate the original Sony stands (WS-M3). Appreciate if someone can post the dimensions of the stands.

Don't have any info on the stands. Sorry. I owned the 7's. Great speakers. I don't think that I would mess with the crossovers at this point myself. I did take the drivers out of mine for an inspection of both drivers and crossovers. The components looked to be of high quality and showed no degradation. They are fairly recent, so they should be fine for a few years. That is only my opinion tho. Others may feel differently.
