Help with Sparta Broadcast Sp12 turntable console

I have acquired a Sparta Broadcast Console SP305 which has two Sparta GT12 TTs and a S30B mixer installed in a large table.
I want to extract, remove the turntables and mixer so I can use them without the mixer. Can they just be removed easily or are they wired into the Mixer? All working when purchased, I had to cut the THICK cable on the back of the MIXER to remove from the studio. So at this point, I don't know what to do to salvage this beautiful turntables.

Not being a tech, I was hoping to undo them and find a RCA cable and ground wire, but had a nightmare this type of connection will not be present and have now seen big springs on the bare bottom in a photo of one removed. I have done anything yet. Any advice would be appreciated... thank you.SPARTA CONSOLE .jpg

Wow. I've been looking for a complete console for years (decades actually). Congrats.

There were several different ways the consoles were done. Best to remove the mixer first and see what's connecting them but from the two consoles I've seen you're going to see typical connections that you can unscrew. Similar to a console stereo.

Thank you for your reply. Another person, from a different site told me the four screws on top will release the TTs from the table. I agree with you, the Mixer should be removed first. One issue is I hope IF I remove the TTs what will be on the bottom? I have seen a lot of variations, I would prefer to keep the TT attached, stable and not have to refit to some kind of Plinth. I was happy to see familiar RCA plugs and Preamps underneath. I am attaching where I am with this project.

Not sure where YOU are located, I am in Kingman Az. The price listed for all is $2400 intact. Maybe you live close? or planning a trip to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas or have a relative who lives nearby? I have in times past delivered big heavy items, similarly to a relatives home for safe keeping until you can arrange to pick it up or ship it out. It is just a thought. I will deal with this eventually myself.

I am figuring two complete TTs are worth 2K, the Mixer 400, the table 200. Finding this outfit was just luck and a gift from God. I buy/sell to supplement my Social Security to exist, this auction just happened. I did have to deal with other bidders painfully to acquire it along with some other collectible mics and electronics. Most people do not have the room for such an antiquated system, the TTs are the most desirable components. The Sparta catalogues, which I have downloaded are free PDFs and have the schematics and diagrams, information necessary for techs and hobbyists alike.

Question: what is the plug on the right on the TEP-3 OUTPUT do? This plug is different and am not certain where or how should it connect to?

Let me know, Kind Regards, Richard

Your extra box is a turntable phono preamplifier. Which works into the Sparta console's balanced line input. If you remove the turntables and tonearms from this mobile console, yes, you will have to build new plinths for the turntables and tonearms yes. The different plug on the TEP 3 output is Octal and has wiring broken out from it, which wires into the console on screw terminals going into barrier strip connectors. (common in olde school analog broadcast console wiring). Hope this helps you.

Sadly not close and a bit over my current budget. Thanks though.
