Help with speaker update

New Member
Last month I requested help with stacking Original Large Advents with Synergistics and which of a few amps to use after wiring the speakers in parallel. Well, they sounded pretty good. I came down the next morning to a dead NAD. I haven't posted since. Well, the amp went to the repair shop where they replaced the power supply and let me take it home. I finally got it back into service and it, again sounds glorious. Nice work guys.

Hold on there, young man! You're not blaming your advisors, are you? They gave you excellent advice, you followed it, and for one day it was great, right? What they advised you to do would not have smoked the NAD's power supply. It just happens, and it just happened to happen when you were playing with speaker configurations.

It's good to have you here, but don't jump to conclusions. Folks here are looking out for your interests -- honest.

Well, I could say hold on there yourself there, youngun. Nothing I said in my post could be construed to indicate blaming those who offered advice. In fact, I took their advice moved speakers, changed out amplifiers and had a glorious evening. That the NAD blew up was in reference to the original thread (I couldn't find it to post there) was never considered to be connected to the advice I received from the good folks here. The NAD was old and just waiting for something to happen. It blew up, I got it fixed, thanks to the posters who helped in the original reconfiguration. I now have everything back into the mix and all is good.

It is good to be here, jumping to conclusions seems to be considered a common problem. Others here look out for each other, I am greatly aware.

No offense offered, none taken.

(Horsie offers his hand for a good healthy handshake), Thanks.
