Help with zener sub please?

Hi guys,
The KR-9600 I'm working on is getting new caps and some other parts which are corroded by glue in the large PS board. There are 2 zener diodes which the parts list calls YZ-140. I can't find this number anywhere, or a sub.
Any ideas?

My Marantz 2230 uses a BZ-140 and My 4300 uses a WZ-140.
I'm betting the YZ-140 is a 14 Volter as well. A 1N5244B is a 14 Volt 500mW.

Look at the voltages and dropping resistors and see if a 500mW part will work.

Thanks Tom, but I'm having trouble posting the pdf. You are on the right track it seems; the cathode of the zener is connected to the base of an NPN, and the voltage there should be 13.8v. I'll get into this tomorrow and try to post the pdf.

Take a screen capture with ALT+PrtSc and then paste it into paint, save it as a jpeg and post it up. (this assumes you have windows)
 
Why replace a zener that hasn't failed? The potential damage to the board outweighs the need to do so, especially if you don't have an exact replacement.
 
I assume you are talking about the power supply and DK2/QK3. That's part of a standard design series pass regulator. I would certainly leave the Zener and transistor alone. Changing out the electrolytic caps around it may have some affect (but I doubt it).
It's mostly the DC supply for the FM lamp driver.

If the parts were corroded by glue -- a common thing -- and if the diode is 14v, as evidence suggests, then the issue is: Is this a 1/2w or a 1w device?

Either is widely available.
