Both my Dual's are DD, one full auto the other semi. I've never experienced any issues with either, but upon breaking the full auto out of retirement it started with the lift, scoot toward the record, jitter then return to base. Ok I've heard of this issue for years, I'm ready! Ordering, or having to order 4-5 pimples at a ridiculous cost seemed stupid (only need one). I remember reading on AK that either heatshrink or speaker wire casing works also, doable. Cut some 12 ga. wire to about 2-2.5mm, took a cassette belt hook and pressed out the copper. and using needle nose attempted to sheath the pimple pin. Ok using pliers you need to squeeze a tad which misshapes the casing. Took the hook and pressed the casing over it and up the shaft since it widens out. Pulling off the casing I plunged the hook right into my finger, SOB. Casing on the pin and everything works as normal. Very happy with the result!
I realize all this post is probably totally obvious to every Dual owner, but in 25 yrs of Dual ownership I've never needed to replace it. Hopefully it helps a Dual virgin like myself.
