hi! :D

so im pretty new to vintage audio gear, but iv been involved with sound (audio visual setups at venues, playing in bands, generally interested in all those uninteresting audio details :p: ) over the years and have used this forum quite a lot.

if im honest mainly for those rushed product searches 15 minutes before an ebay listing ends hahaha :p: :para:

iv been picking mainly cheaper gear for the time being, until i really know what im doing, most of the lesser known high end brands from the 60s and 70s are still new to me (being only 26 yo) but im getting the hang of it :music:

im pretty keen to join the forum banter! :thmbsp:

my setup so far is still up in the air
current gear is;

sanyo radiogram (DC6100K receiver with 4-1349 Turntable)

Technics SL-J110R turntable

two identical Technics SA-R177 receivers running a Technics SB-CD301 3 way speaker each

Denon PMA 540 integrated amp

Denon AVR-1612 receiver (a left over from an old surround sound system)

Kenwood KL-7080 5 way speakers

not everything is shown in the photos (obviously)

i was really excited to get a tube preamp but... mmmm, the price...
so im thinking i will class A amp roll instead of tube rolling haha :p:

vintage gear in australia seems to be extremely expensive unless you get lucky, i guess all amps are far less common due to the small population and cost of shipping/importing things so far. so i paid less for each of those amps than i would for a matched set of any decent 12ax7 tube...
