HF driver ID

cubby01

aka Buck
The driver frame is about 5"-6" across. I figured it must be a midrange but oddly it's paired with a circa 1957-60 8" wide range driver in an old JBL cabinet. I'm pretty sure driver below is not original to the cabinet and other driver. Could this be a tweeter? Anyone recognize it?

(Before anyone ask. I do not have access to the back side.)

TIA

I've tried lots of searches and can't find a driver similar to this. I'm wondering now if it's a franken-driver. That outer surround looks a awfully lot like spider suspension material.

Some manufacturers used the same spider material for surrounds. Looks like a mid to me.
