Hi from California, somewhat new to audiophilia

Hello AK:

I'm Adler, I'm 18 and in college, and I'm from the SF Bay Area, California. I'm relatively new to being an audiophile, but it's something that I'm now fully committed to. It started with insisting on lossless digital audio, buying better headphones, getting a DAC, and then finally getting into vinyl, amassing a decent collection, and finally buying multiple cartridges and turntables to play it with.

I listen mostly to classical music--that's my audio passion.

Anyway, it looks like a fun forum so I'm sure I will post more :)

Welcome and I'm sure that vinyl collection will explode as classical lps can be had for very little money and are widely available.

Welcome! The nice thing about buying used classical LPs is that in general they are in much better shape than the rock ones!

Again, thanks for the welcomes, everybody :)

Yes, I do find that people take care of their classical LPs. The only time I've come across records in bad shape were ones I bought for $ .50 at a thrift shop. But even then, most of the ones I've found there have been fine.

Welcome to AK!
