Hi

New here. Decided it was time to find out a bit more about records, turntables and these analogue systems.

Still using my free setup which i got free a couple of years ago.

Rega planar 3 into a cyrus integrated amp into Linn index speakers(who knows how old). It's all starting to fall apart now and i've been soldering the amp back together for a while now.

But my record collection keeps growing so here i am.

We're all pretty much civil but opinionated here (and that's a good thing :music:)
If you haven't seen a Scorcese film called "The Departed" I'd recommend it, you might like it as much as I did.
And your system recommends you already!

I've seen the Departed, pretty good film.

There's a fun game you can play over here where you go to all the pubs James Joyce mentioned in his works. Not many have completed it.

Where's the best place to ask about general setup questions?

Sounds like a nice system, and even better for free. What's wrong with the Cyrus amp? I'd be inclined to fix it properly so you don't have to keep fixing it, they're great amps. Got any pictures of your system?
