Hello from Los Angeles. Like my profile says, I've been a massive record junkie since I was a kid. Probably 2,200 LP's or so. But I barely know the difference between an amp and a pre-amp. Here to learn as I attempt to improve/perfect my home setup, which currently consists of a Marantz 6300 turntable, Marantz 4240 receiver, and a pair of Marantz HD550 speakers (which is the first thing I’m looking to replace).

Thanks! I keep seeing those mentioned as one I should consider. Been keeping my eyes open on eBay for now. I’d like to find a great vintage audio dealer here in LA where I can go in and shop around and look and see and hear some different options…
