Hi! New member needs some help with turntable

Hi, I bought a Yamaha P-700 and it worked great. Lately, I noticed that it started sounding just a tad slow sometimes. Not much. I saw that there was a light meter that measured the correct speed of the turntable blinked a tiny bit. Wasn't always constant. So, I made the big mistake of adding a tiny drop of trimmer oil to the turntable. Big mistake. Now it really slows and speeds up. Messed it up. is there a way to fix this? I just bought a nice needle for this player and really want to save it but can't really speed a lot. Can I fix this? Does this turntable have a belt?

Thanks

Hello Mark, and welcome to AK.

To answer one of your questions: This turntable is direct drive. There is no belt.

Most TT prob are minor. Most!

Just be careful not to mention your stylus as such as you might get needled. :D
