What makes the Hickok units valuable? Are they rare and sought after?

$100 is a steal!

The 600/6000 are great hobbyist units and will test nearly anything you are likely to come across in the audio tube realm. What makes Hickoks good now is not rarity but that they are like the old small-block Chevy. There are plenty of users and plenty of info about them (tube charts, calibration methods, etc.). They are also built like tanks in comparison to others such as B&K (which are very good operationally). Virtually any Hickok is a "can't lose" proposition.
