Hickok Tube Testers

Hi. I want to buy a used tube tester and have been looking at the Hickoks on ebay. Did you know that there are about 45 new listings every day for tube testers? Wow, it seems like so many people are selling them that they should be cheaper.

Does anyone know the capability order of the Hickok model numbers. I have seen listings for model 600, 750, 755, 800, and 6000A. How do I figure out which model was produced first, etc.?

This should help. There is a Hickok 800 on Bartertown now. Essentially a 533a less a couplle compractron sockets.

I use an 800 for tech work and also keep an EICO 666 as a confirmation source when needed. The 800A is the same as the 800 but has a couple additional tube sockets which are only necessary if you work on more "modern" equipment.
