High-ripple filter caps for SW Power Spply

Today, I replaced filter caps made by Hitachi with Nichicon KX and acquired a noticable improvent in sound. High range became vivid and sound became clearer and smoother. I recommend you try this out.:thmbsp:

The Nichicons are quite nice. Matsushita/Panasonic low esrs are very good as well. :yes:

Thank you for the reply. This one is low ESR and low inductive as well. I happened to find the retailer shop I visit often sells them. They are probably not available anywhere else, though.

Any time you replace old filter caps its not too surprising that it will sound better. Even if you replace them with common nothing special about them capacitors, just having full power supply capacity can't possibly hurt things. The sound you hear ultimately comes entirely from the power supply, so if its not working at its best, then nothing else will either.
