High sensitive vintage speakers ideally under $500 max up to $1000

Don’t forget the Advent Large speaker. The Large and Small Advent speakers like KLH have AR DNA.

I wasn't able to find their sensitivity anywhere do you know how much they could have?

Edit: I almost ended up with Sansui 5500 but they were too far...I will probably wait a while for some efficient one for all solution...I don't really want to try several subs to find one that fits.

It is typical for a 2-way acoustic suspended speaker 89db.

One of the things that soured me at the time with AR, KLH, Advent, etc was the use of foam surrounds. Wharfedale used cloth, then rubber surrounds. Surrounds are fairly easy to replace so if cheap enough rotten foam surrounds are not necessarily a deal killer.

My Advent OLA is very hungry.

What is the price range you would pay for IMF SUPER COMPACT II. Thinking about them but don't want to overpay them.

Do you know the efficiency of IMF SUPER COMPACT II ?

It is interesting for this thread to surface again. Since I posted this things have changed. To the W35 Wharfedales I have added a pair of W45’s. The W45’s combined with my Klipsch subwoofer is absolutely magical.

Find a set of CV 316-R, 15" woofers, 103db/1 watt. Good size speaker that right at home with "rock" as well as "jazz". I bought a pair when I was stationed in the UK in 1979, and I have them in my den setup, driving them with a Pioneer SX 1980.
