I have a Realistic SCT-90 dual cassette deck. Everything works fine but the high speed dubbing stopped working & it wasn't used that hard either. I had a local tech look at it & he said he thinks it's an IC chip. Another tech that doesn't do this kind of work anymore feels like it's a power issue.
Tape 1 & 2 play fine. Tape 2 records fine. All switches work fine except for the high speed dubbing. It was working but it didn't sound strong then it just stopped. Now when you push the high speed button it just records at normal speed & you can see the peak meters drop when pushing the button in & out. Also when you play it back the highs are not as bright & you can hear a drop/click when the button was being push in & out. For a bigger picture click here: http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/7505/ccf060720130000.jpg
Here are some pictures of the board & the schematic. I'm pretty sure the first daughter board is the dubbing board as it's printed dubbing twice on the upper left above what I think are trims.
Does anyone no where I can get a service manual for this unit?
