it has an arch covered with an imitation of leather, which seems indestructible, it opens in 2 parts for a better held (although it is not its fort) it does not have there a pads just an acoustic piece of fabrics, purely to protect the drivers surely there surprisingly it is very light and resistant in spite of its with dimensions.
it is connected to an power amplifier Hitachi-HMA-6500 Mos-Fet which seems to be the match with its impedance of 100ohms the pre-ampli is Pioneer SA-8500 with two different sources: a reel to reel tape recorder Akai 4000-DB as well as a network player Pioneer N-50A the result was more as satisfying as well on Akai as N-50 I discover a sound very balanced though yelling in the acute ones at the beginning (caused by the different adjustment for my HPM-60v1 ) the soundstage is well reproduced with a honourable spatialization and a precise stereo image but a lack of bass. I understood after why, at the beginning I listened to Waste No Time of MØ. Then I switched to Isaac stern: Concerto for Violin and Orch. in D Major, Op. 77 Adagio, radio diffusion of 1971 recorded on tape bought at flea market, the Hitachi finally revealed himself for my great joy as ravelled the titles: Robert petway - Catfish Blues, Ludovico Einaudi - mountain, The The - Giant, Oscar Peterson - Nighttime in short a helmet uncomfortable with modern pop and the “boomesque” rap too but perfectly atease on jazz, classic even on rock'n'roll I have to listen to music during more than 3 hours without embarrassments nor auditive tirednesses once pre-amp set correctly on the level i forgets that it was on my head.
Conclusion
a nice catch for little price, despite the lack of bass
perfect for who loke to listen classical, jazz, smooth songs
