Hitachi HS-3 Lo-D Speaker Score

I found these with a nice Harman Kardon 630 Twin Power receiver on Craigslist. The owner found them in his attic. The former tenants left them along with a middle-of-the line Sansui turntable. I passed on the turntable, but the speakers intrigued me. They're bookshelf sized, with a nice 8" cast frame? woofer, titanium tweeter, and titanium supertweeter. Sharp looking vinyl rosewood wrap. With some bass boost, they're sounding great! Really good match with the HK receiver. Nice and open sounding, without being fatiguing. Tight bass from a sealed design and very interesting woofer surround. I found some specs online. Has anyone tried these or others in the lineup? http://audio-database.com/Lo-D-HITACHI/speaker/hs-3-e.html

Yes, they do remind me of Yamahas too. I've seen some really nice Pioneer bookshelf speakers on Ebay occasionally, that look like high quality TAD designs. I'm definitely a Pioneer speaker fan, and would like to hear those!
