Hey Now,

I have a Hitachi HCA-8500 MKII pre that I really like. It is a very versatile little unit. 2 outputs, I run one to a SS and one to a tube amp. Allows me to play the amp best suited for the music I want to listen to at the moment 8^). I'm sure you will like your Hitachi, good deal.

It's just a feeling and I have with no real proof, but I wonder if the big Japanese electronics companies didn't take more care with products bearing the parent company's name instead of a subsidiary's.

Hitachi is one of those brands that flies way under the radar. For $10, that is a bargain.
