HK 330C....nice little receiver!

Hey Peter!

Glad you're enjoying the 330C. I'm sure someone knows how to get it working in stereo.

Yeah, I think there have been several posts about these and they are a much loved, low powered receiver that really holds it's own. My best advice is to run it with the bass and treble in the neutral position if you are using fairly warm speakers. I had a 330B pretty much the same receiver with different aesthetics and slightly older hooked up to a pair of Harman Kardon HK~40 speakers which would vibrate the floor if you turned the bass past the neutral position. I have no idea why they ever put the "Contour" button on there, which is basically loudness, since those receivers really do not need them. They were good units and I sort of regret getting rid of mine.

My Sansui AU-717 started misbehaving and I didn't want to pull the big Yamaha off Kitchen Duty where its power is needed for 2 sets of thirsty speakers, so I pulled out this Harman Kardon 330c that I just got on Sunday (fellow AKer in SoPo) and hooked it up.

WOW!

AND, it's driving ADS 880's (not very efficient speakers)! Granted, it's a small room, but darn, this sounds fantastic! I'll be keeping my eyes open for more...
