HK 430 no power

Hi all- I'm a newbie here, just started collecting vintage gear. Picked up an HK 430 yesterday, and ran into a not small problem that it will not power up at all. No lights, nothing. I opened it up and didn't see any blown fuses or other obvious signs of failure. Anyone have any ideas about where to start troubleshooting? Thanks in advance!

So you bought it knowing it didn’t work?
Hmmmm. You opened it but didn’t see any blown fuses?
What about the three fuse holders on the rear? One is the main power, and the other two are for the spk outputs>
Did you remove the power fuse and verify it’s ok?
 
Are you sure that it is not just the lights that are burned out? Have you tried it with headphones or speakers?
 
Some fuses you have to look carefully. Continuity with a DVM can help verify. Extract and check that main power fuse on the back panel, if it is blown the unit won't get any power. Then again there is usually a reason it blew that will still be there looking to take out the replacement, often the instant the power switch clicks.

Plug in a pair of headphones and see if you hear anything when you turn it on, most units will have a little hum or background noise if getting power and the lights are out.

Odds are it is a fix and repair unit. Was this a thrift store find?

Based on your handle have heard the term upstate used for part of NY and also SC.
