HK 730 vs Carver CM-1090

I am considering getting a Carver CM-1090 to replace my HK 730 which is powering a pair of beautiful vintage Dynaco a25's with tweeter and cap upgrades. The Carver is 100 wpc and the HK is 40 wpc, but has dual power transformers. Does anyone on this forum listened to (or have an opinion of) the Carver?

I have not heard that particular Carver, but I can tell you that the 730 is a very fine receiver. It outperforms, in my system, several Marantz, Onkyo, Kenwood and Philips receivers that are very highly thought of...
