HK Citation 11 - Cleaning Pots/Sliders

I'm fixing up an HK Citation 11...was from the home of a decades-long smoker and it's all gummed up.

Inside the cover is a warning that the controls and sliders are silicone loaded and not to use any commercial cleaning products.

Will I run into any issues using my standard control/tuner spray+lube, or is there a recommended product specifically for this model of HK?

Fader lube is recommended for the sliders. My understanding is they don't need a lot of over cleaning just work them. so if extra cleaning just follow up with the lube.

I have a 15 and a 14.
I cleaned everything but the variable sliders; but they were not noisy
Are you seeing noise from them?

Definitely some crackling from the sliders. I'll try just working them a lot. The volume and balance pots, though, are so noisy it's unbearable.

I'll use my regular control cleaner, and if working the faders doesn't solve the issue, clean with the same and apply fader lube.
