Not sure how much action you will pickup here but there is a Yahoo group called citationsound and those guys are all hard core DIY HK people. You might want to subscribe ... I think McShane is on it.
This just got posted:

Subject: [citationsound] Citation II
Hi,
I just became a member here because I have an interest in exploring the Citation II. I've never owned one, and have only read great things about it.
I've enjoy listening to music all of my life, and in the past two years have taken to restoring vintage audio gear (my wife says it keeps me out of trouble..lol).
My current "daily driver" setup includes a pair of McIntosh MC30's, McIntosh MX110z, Thorens TD124 and a Squeezebox touch w/extermal DAC. All feeding a pair of Klipsch KLF series loudspeakers. I've rebuilt and enjoyed a bunch of great pieces including Fisher receivers (a 400 I'm working on now & a 500-C which was my first project), a Scott 299D, Dynaco, Heathkit, and of course my Mac gear.
I'm looking forward to learning what I can about the HK Citation II, and hopefully someday finding out for myself just how nice they sound. I know Jim McShane is a great resource for all things HK, but I figure I'll tap that resource when I actualy find the amp! lol
