Hmmm.. Mac has spoiled me.

My primary receiver is a Mac 4100. I have about 8-10 other receivers I was rotating though, but I have stopped doing it - the 4100 drives all my speakers so well, and sounds so good, nothing else compares.

I just can't believe how much I like the 4100.

Glad to hear you're happy with your 4100 and it's just what I needed to hear:) I've been watching 4100's as of late and contemplating one as my next Mcpurchase. I really like my 1700 and wondering how much better can that 4100 be? I guess I'll have to find out at some point.

Well, the 4100 is two generations newer and has a TON of features the 1700 lacks. I enjoyed a few 1700s and even a few 1900s over the years.

IMHO the1500 is still the most elegant receiver these eyes have ever seen.

I love my MAC4100, loads of features for sure but it's got a serious 100 watt amp as it's heart, I run three pairs of 4 ohm speakers LOUD and there's no problem!

I've also managed to bring home a 4100 this week and just like you SiliconTi I'm really liking what I'm hearing. Mac really got things right with the 4100 didn't they.
I've got mine hooked up to a pair of recapped ML1C's and it's some of the best sound I've heard to date in this particular room.
