Well I don't have 8K. But that would be a ultimate Marantz Tube setup I figure.

He did have it at like 10K a few days ago.

That would be a steal then if these are unmolested and working.

The ultimate setup would have a pair of Model 9s, but a tweaked 8B is one of the sweetest amplifiers I've ever personally heard. Cosmetically pretty 7 (presumably not 7T), and 10B in wood cases, 8B with the cage? $8k doesn't sound too unreasonable.

Recent eBay sales:
7: $3850 (without wood case) - $5720 (with case, box and paperwork)
8B: $1900-$2500
10B: $2280 (without wood case) - $2475 (with wood case)

$8k is the low end of eBay pricing for that set. They look to be worth the money, but not a steal.
