Hockey, (Men) The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics

Had to go out, and missed Canada VS Austria
Anyway, 6, nil for Canada, excellent start

Tomorrow, USA VS Russia, this should be a very good game

I think USA v Russia is going to be a defining game for USA. If they play well and win it is going to do a lot for their confidence.

On the 13th, USA won 7 to 1 against Slovakia.
They are very fast, as it should be in the Olympics, and found them to be an excellent team.
I also watched Russia against Slovenia, which they won 5 to 2
I find they have a very good team this year, and played together as a team for once. Russian are known to be very individualistic when there is more than one star on the ice.

It's a game not to be missed, that's for sure.

I didn't know about that net rule in International play, but I guess we'll take it. 4 on 3 PP now for USA (29sec.), yehaw.

Yeah, a real nail biter! USA got lucky with the disallowed goal. It seemed to be the right call but still lucky.
Man that shootout was insane. Oshie looked like he was enjoying every second, just as cool as a cucumber.

Also today in group A

Slovenia 3, Slovakia 1

In group C, starting in 5 to 10 minutes, (21:00hrs Sochi time)

SUI VS CZE
SWE VS LAT

Today, Women's play-offs quarterfinals,

SUI 2 VS RUS 0
SWE 4 VS FIN 2

USA has an excellent team this Olympics, Canada will have to be at their best, and as far as I'm concerned, better than they showed in their first two games. They have to get use to play on a big surface.

Jonathan QUICK, one of the best in the NHL, will anchor the US team.

Today in the Men's Prelim. Round - Group A

In a shoot out,
RUS 1 VS SVK 0

Coming up in the Men's Prelim. Round - Group B
at 21:00hrs Sochi time

CAN VS FIN

After two periods, tied at 1

Drew DOUGHTY scored in the first period while Tuomo RUUTU scored at the end of the second.

He's having a heck of a tournament. I might be related to him, so I'm digging it.

Just to confirm, is the quarterfinal game at 10am Mountain Time?
