Holger Czukay has been found dead - R.I.P.

[hjames]

RIP Holger Czukay, co-founder of Can. His collaborations with David Sylvian, "Plight & Premonition" and "Flux + Mutability" were just brilliant, as was so much of his work (check out "Movies") ... He also did work with Brian Eno and others ...

Czukay's body was discovered inside his apartment on 5 September 2017. The actual date and cause of death is currently unknown, and is subject to a police investigation.

The Rolling Stone writeup said: His wife U-She passed away only weeks before. Holger was devastated by the loss of his beloved partner, but was looking forward to making more music and was in good spirits.

Another great gone. I'm going to play some of his music tonight here.

Same year as Jaki too... Sad.

Never really delved into Holger's non-CAN works. Guess now's an appropriate time.

For some reason I wound up with a copy of Der Osten Ist Rot when it came out. To this date I have not listened to it. I'll pull it tonight as a reminder to play it on the weekend. To the best of my knowledge, I've never heard any of his stuff.

That way there's no one left!
Very sad
