I don't see the problem, two are hand made amplifiers and one is completely restored and updated. $1000 doesn't seem that unreasonable for any of them, what do you expect, someone to design and completely hand build an amplifier and sell it for $50?
People who buy and use the smaller output amps are not cranking them up, if one has 91db or higher rated speakers and a source with a variable output these types of amps will play plenty loud enough for for most people, these folks are looking for the type of sound they prefer with the EL84/6BQ5 tubes. As far as prices go either people will pay or they wont if not then prices will drop accordingly to match.

I just recently bid one of those and got half a dozen 5670's at a ridiculous price. There were two in the pile that looked interesting, which is why I bid in the first place, but the real surprise was one I didn't even give a second glance in the ad ... a Westinghouse?
Silver plate, triple mica, D getter, looks brand new ... and is already one of my favorites.

Nope, I wouldn't pay those prices. But they WILL keep going up, as demand goes up. Eventually, prices will fall when the younger generations decide to collect vintage tablets and smartphones instead of bulky ol' stereo equipment from the 20th century. Unfortunately, most of us will be dead and gone by then.:sigh:

This isn't how I would spend my money, but if I built these, I would not be embarrassed to ask this much.
Look at what a Dynaco Stereo 35 sells for these days and this much money for a brand-new scratchbuilt does not seem out of line. Not everyone has the time or the inclination to work on tube amps with 400 volt power supplies!
I think the second one is as much fashion statement as anything. The market will answer your question! To each his own value judgements.
In theory there must be cheaper alternatives from China...

those look like car speakers in their cabinets, im not saying they necessarily are, as I know nothing about this company, just looking that cheap is enough to make me never go there again tho.
