All (and by all I mean every single solitary incarnation of) auction links, including but not limited to eBay, Audiogon, Craigslist, and now Goodwill as well, belong in the Dollars & Sense forum.

Every single one.

No exceptions.

All of them.

Every time.

Always.

No matter what.

If tomorrow, a new auction site is begun (we'll call it Bob's Auction site just for laughs) then threads with links to it will also go in the Dollars & Sense forum. If the day after that the Salvation Army starts an auction site? You guessed it, those threads will also go in the Dollars & Sense forum...

That particular GW up in Tacoma seems to always have some very nice stuff. Maybe because of all of the military bases and retired servicemen.

My brother is near by, hmm...

I'm not surprised that they decided to cut out the middleman (this store was doing auctions on that auction site previously) and host their auction site. The fact that they accept VISA for auction payment AND local pickup is available at 21 different retail locations is very nice.

...if you buy the item, I think you can tell them which Seattle/Tacoma store you'd like to pickup at and they will truck it to that location - hopefully they don't toss it around in the process :yikes:

I think this amp/preamp will earn them nice donation $$ - lots of attention already and this auction isn't over until a week from Sunday. And there's even a thread about it on AK now.. :smoke:

Yeah, it seems that Sansui was VERY big with the military PX purchases around here, and I think that was for good reason. :music:

Thanks for the info Sir. Byrd!

I didn't know GW did auctions as well. The GWs here in Big D just don't carry the nice stuff like this one. Man, that is an impressive vintage audio combo!

I am going to bookmark this link to check on equip I may bid on in the future.

Curious as to why we needed four links for this one auction...

Yes, the local pickup at any GW location in the area is nice, but I am with you - please let me pick them up where they are right now, thank you very much! Don't even move them from the shelf!

The one on 38th street is the largest one........there are 3 others in Tacoma. My last find was a pair of KEF C-55's for $29.99.

Cheers! :)
