Home brew Bozak B207b

I’m spotted a pair of home brew cabs loaded with a single Bozak B207b in each. The volume of the cabs is supposed to be over 5.5 cubic feet. After seeing these I started poking around in the AK archives and came across some references about moving the dual tweets from woofer center to the top of the cabs to raise them to a better listening level. I’m not opposed to doing something like that if I were to pick them up…I have the skills…and the tools. :)

I also found all the discussions about infinite baffels, cotton batten, and hanging curtains interesting as well.

Since I have zero experience with Bozak, would something like this be a decent foray into the Bozak world? At the very least maybe a fun tinker project?

Bleep yeah! Find yourself a pair of the B209B's mids, or even the B800's (if you think they'll fit). And build yourself some proper 3 way crossovers. You'll be SET!


The B199 woofer is a lousy full range driver, gets real nasty above 800hz. You really need the midrange to clean things up, get some lush clarity and depth.
