I have a four way active amplified home stereo system and I recently installed a Carver TFM-15 amp for the midbass drivers. I like it so much that I am seriously thinking of replacing the other three amps with Carver amplifiers of the same series. I would only need two more TFM-15 amps and one larger amp from the same series to drive the subs.
The main questions are what Carver amp from the TFM series would I need to properly drive the subs and also what bulb will I need to insert in series with the Klipsch KG-4 tweeters to protect them from exceeding their wattage rating?
Looks like maybe the Carver amp canbe rack mounted if the handles are removed. Is that true? If so that will simplify my setup.
Also I am eventually going to replace the speaker terminals with 1/4" phone jacks and I would wire them directly to the PC board instead of going through the speaker selector switch.
Current setup. No pic of the Carver yet.
EDIT: Looking at the specs I will need the Carver TFM-35 to power the subs.
