to my garage unit a few days ago. I must say I shoulda done this a LONG time ago. My garage system is better than average I guess, 40 watt MCS integraded hooked to hpm 60"s. Its been tuned into espn the whole year its been hooked up runnin 24-7. I have the external sattelite receiver in my truck because its a 2002 and didnt come with one built in. I am soooo diggin this guys and I must recommend that all must try it. You just go to the sirius website and order a home docking station for a whoppin 40 bucks, plug it into aux port and you have 980 stations of uninterrupted music plus any ballgame being played on the planet. The sound quality does not drop off bad at all, although i"ve never hooked a cdp up out there. The best thing imo is you can dial up any music you want to, Elvis has his own station which I like. If you guys have sirius check out #67 Real Jazz, man its sweet. I love sittin in the garage at night havin my cold ones diggin on that jazz, they go back and play stuff from the 20"s & 30"s that mind blowing. I have 3 teenage daughters in the house so my hangout is my garage, yep, the one that works and pays all the bills has to hang in the garage to get peice of mind. Okay i"m done........Roost

I added Sirius to my primary rig and really enjoy it. Yes, there are sometimes compression artifacts but the variety of music is great.

I started doing this a couple of years ago and share your enthusiasm completely. I don't use a docking station. I have one of the older model Sirius receivers with the "high output " FM transmitter. Not only do I enjoy this in my garage, I can tune in any receiver in the house to the FM transmit frequency and enjoy the same programming. Sound quality is very acceptable to me

serious/xm

I have direct tv and it provides close to 100 music programs of COMERCIAL FREE listening. Similar to the xm in my truck. Too bad a dac won't uncompress it. I like the fact you don't have to rush to turn down the volume before the dj cuts in at a louder volume so you can better hear what is being sold for the next 5 minutes.

I have Dish Network satellite TV that includes about 100 of the Sirius radio channels. Build my own home office computers, to include video in cards, so also a tv with a Dish box plugged in. Listening to Sirius radio right now, through the systems 2.1 Cambridge Soundworks speakers, and quite decent. Also have it hooked up to my main music system for listening out in the attached garage, but a far cry from a decent CD.
