Greetings, good people of Audiokarma. I'm hoping some of you might not mind sharing your wisdom, warnings, thoughts, knowledge, and opinions.
I'm thinking of buying the following from a guy:
This would be my first major investment in a turntable system, and my first foray into tubes.
I have an AR-XA, paired with Yamaha rx-597 and b&w 620m's -- and love them. I also enjoy my partner's JVC turntable, which is paired with a Marantz 2010 and HTD bookshelf speakers. I recently ordered a Sansui 8080DB ($300) as well, though I may cancel that order.
I'm happy with what I have l, so I don't need this equipment, but the deal seems good and the equipment seems hard to find/high quality, so I'm tempted (though my partner is horrified).
Mostly I listen to blues, classical, jazz, and electronic.
I'd be grateful for any advice, perspective, knowledge, opinions, or anything else anybody wants to share. Is this a good deal? Any other thoughts/ideas, or anything else I should think about/consider? Thanks in advance! Cheers!
