Houston Area Mcintosh Repairs

I live in Houston and my Mcintosh C28 is never able to work completely as it should, and I would like to find a qualified electrician to bring it back to a dependable level. The problem is that it will work for a month or so, and something goes wrong, almost like a cycle. I would like to fix it myself but I am only a novice!

Any suggestions on a fantastic repair man?

Unfortunately not enough experienced restorers participate here anymore to make it interesting.....

I know there are any number of owners getting or needing work done but too often they do not get a repair tech to get into it deep enough to minimize recurring problems.

Chris, every time I walk by my C28 (collecting dust), I think about all of the work required to address the galvanic corrosion issue you repeatedly refer to in these units. So, it just sits. Between that and the fact that the C28 has about 8 dozen unsealed pots and push-buttons, C28s are really needy.

This is somewhat unfortunate, as when my C28 works properly (and it occasionally does), boy does it sound exquisite.
