How about a video?

I saw someone post a video in one of the other threads, so today I set about recording a needledrop and shooting a video. Of course, I then had to learn how to combine a different audio track and remove the original bad audio from the video, but it actually worked.

So here's a quick glance through my main system. The camera ain't too good, but the audio should be fine. (this is blocked in Germany, due to copyright)

It's something I've been upgrading, gradually, now since last summer. Started with a new rack, then the Clearaudio TT and most recently newer amp and tuner. It will finally be finished when (if) I can find a Marantz SA-15 in gold color.

Thank you guys, I'm really enjoying the sound.

By the way, Guiller, you might remember I installed a phonostage?. Well, that was with my older amp and I decided I needed something with a little more oomph, for the TT. So I actually got rid of the phono stage after only 3 months.

I'm now back to using the in-built Marantz phono, which gives me a couple more Lines-in(for DVD etc) and its actually a great phono stage in it's own right. The 15S2 is the same phono stage as in the mighty PM11S2, so it's more than up to the job.

Now that was some excellent audio! I can only dream of a TT so awesome.

Thanks.
I really don't pretend to understand all the digital formats. I don't know 16bit from 24bit, but I know folks take their needledrops very seriously, with Hi-Res this and that, EQ moves and converting back. Me, I cheat.! :D

Directly recorded CD copy of the vinyl, married to the video, in the best resolution setting. You can hear a little rumble at the start and there is some bleed through in the groove, but apart from that, it's a very nice sound.

That LP is cleaaaan :music:

Nice looking setup. I need to get upgrading again. Looks like I may be getting more hours again at work soon so I can start buying more things again since school eats up most of my money.

Listening on my "little" desk setup. Just moved a turn table into this system. Nicely convent to have the table in arms reach for flipping the LP.

I wishmy laptop phone jack would work, these little speakes sound like :puke:
but your system looks nice.

Many Thanks guys. It's not in the same league as some on here. There are some awesome systems in AK land. Makes me drool looking at the other threads.

But, I appreciate your nice comments. This is how we do it in Britain, solid rack, stacked components and small(ish) bookshelf speakers, space is a premium.:thmbsp:

Are you serious ? That is some all around very fine kit you have there. I love the look of your all-champagne-gold Marantz Reference components. :thmbsp:

Ahh thank you Glen, that's kind. Gotta keep the wife happy too, you know? I know it's out of fashion, but I love silver /gold stuff..reminds me of the 70's equipment I had as a lad :thmbsp:
