How about "C.E.C. 3200"?

get the CEC if that is what you can afford right now, and if it is close by. Keep on the lookout for a Thorens later (a TD125 would be preferred.. the TD160, 166, 145 line were really mass market tables and not Thorens best efforts. Not terrible, but I sold my TD160 and upgraded to a TD125 and the difference is night and day... Especially if they hold value, you have nothing to lose!
 
I'm going to audition CEC tonight, so I'll let you know what I saw/heard!
Also, Thorens's price just came down and now is 192$.
But yeah, there's a problem that I would spend that kind of money for something I couldn't see before it comes to my town on a bus. The only option is that my friend (who know nothing about tt's) checks it out, but what's that worth?
I'm closer to CEC right now, it makes my life less complicated in two ways, I have the exact ammount of money that it costs and it is 10 minutes walk from me. But, it has to be in great condition.

Silly question I am sure, but would shipping to Croatia from US on a table be like? Perhaps one of us has something on the cheap we could ship?
 
I've thought about that a couple of times, but i believe the shipping costs of a well-packed tt would be enormous, and that still wouldn't guarantee me that it would come to destination, or that it would come undamaged. Also, your power circuits are different, am I right?

Yes, the mains current here is 120VAC at 60Hz. I believe Croatia is 220VAC at 50Hz. Many turntables are switchable between these two standards. You need to change out the plug and for belt drive turntables the capstan has to be changed as well for 50 vs. 60Hz. That's often the hardest part since the capstans can be impossible to find.

Other two reasons seem to me as more tricky than the conversion from 120V to 220V. So, that's a no go for me, unfortunately. But it's nice to know that some people are willing to do that for me! Thanks again!

The plug's easy. There are even adapters that make it unnecessary to change anything, just stick the adapter into the wall outlet and plug the power cord into that. The capstan is the hard part but if you're lucky enough to find a turntable that still has both the 60Hz and 50Hz capstans.............
