How can I test my NAD 2200 stereo power amp

I would like to test my NAD 2200 stereo power amp, but not entirely sure how given my current set up.

I have a pioneer pl-4 turntable > technics sh-8017 graphic EQ > Kenwood kr-9400 receiver > fisher ST-925 speakers.

Can I use the Kr-9400 as a pre-amp? If so what inputs and outputs do I use?

Any insight on this would be great. I'm new to the site, so hopefully I posted this in the correct forum.

Does your Kenwood have any preout connections on the back? If so that's the ticket! Patch cord from the preout to the inputs on the NAD.

I don't think so. Not marked as 'pre-out' anyway.

The only outputs I have are:

'Dolby NR out' (which is tied to the 'Dolby NR in')

Tape A and B (play and record)

'FM DET OUT' - single RCA jack

And Speaker outputs (obviously)

What's the name of the jacks with the u-shaped metal jumpers in them?

The jacks with the u-shaped metal jumpers are the 'Dolby NR' in and out.

I think you can patch into your tape loop ? Plug in there but not sure which side, tape in or rec? I think that works as well?? Not 100% tho

I don't know if this will work, but I would probably try pulling out the jumpers for the Dolby NR and running an interconnect from the Dolby output to the power amp input; you're not going to do any harm, and you can easily put the jumpers back when you're done.
