How can I use APPJ 2013 as headphone amp

I got a Masdropped APPJ 2013 amp for under 100 bucks and it came without power cord which I can live with. I bought it for using in my office setup as headphone amp. Very stupid of me to think that it has headphone output. What are my options to use this a headphone amp. I do see a APPJ HPA adapter which sells for 100 freaking bucks.. I did see a site which kinda makes a convertor box for the same called RobinetteBox.. Are there any other options?

I don't know what type of headphones you have. If they are low-Z, I probably would consider sending it back if you can or use it with some small speakers. I doubt you can get a low enough output Z to not affect the frequency response after providing the 8 ohms the amp wants to see. Somebody else may have an idea for a matching/attenuator circuit you could cobble up. If you have 300 ohm or 600 ohm Senns or Beyers you may be in luck though.
I have one of the small APPJ tube headphone amps and it works well - not all that neutral, but I didn't get it for serious listening, just tinkering.

As far as I can tell, the only headphone amp APPJ currently sells is the PA1502A, which I own one of. Massdrop does occasionally have drops for the PA1502A.

You could use an in-line output converter. Used all the time in car stereo installs. It hooks to the APPJ's speaker outputs, and converts the signal to low level RCA outputs.

I use a similar method to hook up my headphones to the RCA outs on my tube DAC. It works fine.

As a warning the PA1502A doesn't come with a power cord either.

I like my PA1502A quite a bit- the stock tubes are not the best but it's a very versatile tube roller. It's a bit bass-light but upgrading the coupling caps or using darker-sounding power tubes will compensate for that.

One thing to note is the preamp tube socket supplies 12.6V to the heater, unlike most other headphone amps which supply 6.3V. 12AT7/U7/X7, 12BH7, etc. still work but if you want to use something like a 6DJ8/6922 you'll need its 12V equivalent if it has one (the rare 12DJ8/8416 in case of the 6DJ8). The power tube sockets supply 6.3V and 1.25A each, so practically any power tube with a 6V6GT pinout and heater current draw up to that max will work.
