How do I find a tech in my area?

Hi all! I just joined the forum and it is a little overwhelming. I'm wondering if anyone could give me any hints on how to find a qualified audio tech in the Redding CA or Medford OR areas. (i'm in Mt. Shasta, a pretty small town right between these two larger cities) I have a HK 690i that I'd like gone over to see if any caps need replacing etc. Thanks!!

If you know of a used audio store, or a record store that sells used audio stuff, ask them where they get their stuff fixed and ready to sell. That's how I found a tech in my area. Or, you may get lucky and find that they fix their own gear.

I have said for years that we ought to have a list of the techs here, with a small map of their locations. However, it becomes a sponsorship thing, i believe, as some vendors pay for ads on this site, and nobody has figured out a way to do this without upsetting the applecart.

Lots of great techs here, most are backlogged. With your location, I'd talk to Blaine, aka blhagstrom. I think he is in Oregon. GREAT tech, and good guy.
