How Do I fix my Ground Loop Problem?

Hi so I bought two Art EQ355's and they both give me a 60hz hum with my subwoofer and I have connected the eq on different circuits and it still does it I even disconnected all audio inputs to the eq and had the sub connected to the output of the eq and still get a hum I have heard about ground loop isolators but idk what one to buy this is all at home. I also get a little hum on my right side speakers from the eq. I turn the volume on my amp up and it gets very loud hum. It's not the audio source I did my testing many different ways all day today. What ground loop isolator should I get? I don't have a lot after spending so much on audio upgrades. I will probably get 2-3 of those isolators.

Have you tried the ground lift switch on the rear panel of the EQ yet ?

This switch is used to disconnect signal ground from the mains and chassis earth ground. You may
set the switch to the LIFT position if ”Hum”, caused by a ground loop, can be heard at the speakers.

Trial and error.

Try running some ground cables to various units.

One time I fixed one by running a ground cable to a big chunk of metal.

Pain in the butt...
 
i would leave the sub out until you find the eq issue
then as suggested try a ground wire to different points to get the hum out of the speakers

then put the sub back in
when my sub hum wouldnt go away i ended up running a ground wire from a screw on the sub amp back to my stereo amp

put your system back the way it was before the eq's... no sub
add 1 eq
got hum? find it
1 eq no hum ... add eq 2
got hum?
find it
add sub

Hi, your problem is not your system. It is the ART355 EQ. I have had the same situation and am now on my third unit. The ART lab in USA found the same situation with units they had in stock, as did my local
Music store with two more. All present some low freq hum in one or both channels, when a few sliders (usually, 31.5, 40, 50, 63 Hz) are raised OR lowered. The ART USA lab came up with a fix , involving rerouting and securing internal ground cabling. A nearby ART service centre modified one unit and shipped to me. It is better than the first two, but still has some hum when I raise 40, 50, 63, which gets even worse when I raise a bit of 200 and 250, which I wish to do for my system. I have contacted Yorkville/ART and waiting for new response. All three problem units were manufactured in Nov 2017. Hope this helps.
 
By the way... I am
Using all balanced inputs and outputs. And, a good check is also when you select EQ bypass ALL the hummis gone indicating the rest of your system is ok. I specifically chose the EQ355 because of the price and product overview that claims it is for applications “where extremely silent processing is needed”.
