How do I know what cartridge I can use for Dual 604?

I would like to buy a cartridge to buy for my Dual 604 for about $50-$60.
Can I just buy any old one?

I'm putting the dancing banana at the end of this one because he's just so cute!

The Ortophon OM series and most Audio Technica carts will work well with the Ultra Low Mass arms on the Duals.
I have a Dual 506 and am using a AT120E. However, the AT95 costs quite a bit less and is well thought of.

I have a Dual 704, and have used an Ortofon OM-10 with it; a very good match. The current equivalent from Ortofon is the Omega: http://www.amazon.com/Ortofon-Omega-Single-Pack-Cartridge/dp/B001GVJ9XG If you want to try something else, the Audio-Techinca 95E: http://www.needledoctor.com/Audio-Technica-95E-Cartridge but I personally think the Ortofon is nicer.
