How do I make my RCA RS-178 work

I have an RCA RS-178 in excellent condition. My friend that gave it to me told me it’s in excellent working condition (and I trust him very much).
I just don’t understand how to get this working with my turntable. I can upload pictures or whatever is necessary.

If you are using a turntable with a magnetic cartridge, it needs an external or outboard preamp just for MM or MC cartridges. Everything about that amplifier is for line level or ceramic input cartridges.

All those old coupling capacitors and electrolytics gotta go.
