HOW do you file your reel to reel tape??

Maybe a silly question but i'm wondering how your guys file your reel to reel tapes (new and used). I'm asking this question because i'm new in the world of reel to reel . Most of my tapes are Maxel UD 35-180 with metal 10 1/2" and I keep then in a horizontal position when not in use. Other question is about the heat because most part of the year (where I live) has a very hot weather. I would like to hear as much unswers as possible about storage and proper care and handle of reel to reel tapes:thmbsp:

Keep tape away from magnetic fields. Don't stack tapes on top of equipment.
Tape storage areas should be cool and dry. Never leave open reel or cassette tapes exposed to the sun. Avoid subjecting tapes to rapid temperature changes. If storage and operating area temperatures differ by more than 15° F (8° C), allow an acclimatization time within the operating area of four hours for every 18° F (10° C) difference. Reels should be supported by the hub. [Tapes should be stored like books on a library shelf - on end. They should not be stored laying flat.] Return tapes to their containers when they are not in use. Do not use general purpose adhesive tapes to secure the tape end or for splicing. If necessary, use adhesive products designed for the purpose.
Minimize tape handling. Do not touch the tape surface or the edge of the tape pack unless absolutely necessary and then wear lint-free gloves.
Clean the recorder tape path thoroughly at the recommended intervals.

I have a TEAC A-3300S and AKAI X-150D, the last one from the Jurassic era of the RTR (LOL) and both in excellent shape.

Stored on the shelves in the cabinet section of my stereo rig for the ones I've filled with tunz, stored like records. I don't use fancy software to keep track of the music so I have a sheet of what is on each tape, one in the tape and one in a notebook. Each tape is numbered on the box and since I don't mess this up the tapes themselves are not yet numbered.

The 'empties' are filling up the shelf in the second bedroom. Stacked like pancakes. The pancakes are in the third bedroom because I'm hiding them.
