Picked up a really clean Akai GX 280D-SS deck recently that unfortunately doesn't play in reverse at the moment (everything else, especially sound, is nice). I've read that cleaning up the contacts in the relays can solve a lot of problems in this deck, but I've tried a few times to remove the plastic casings for the relays and can't seem to get them off. That said, I've tried not to use too much force as I'd rather not break them off... any suggestions/tricks/tips on how to get these off without breaking the fasteners? Also, is it necessary to remove the board or can it just be done with the board installed (which I'd rather do)? Thanks!
